Job summary

Clark Davis Associates is seeking a details-oriented HR Coordinator to support recruitment, onboarding, and employee records in North Bergen, NJ. This role ensures accurate HR data, compliance, and responsive support to staff and management.

You will handle benefits inquiries, payroll support, leave administration, I-9/E-Verify, and employee relations tasks, contributing to a positive workplace and smooth HR operations day-to-day.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN) required.
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish).
  • Strong understanding of general HR practices and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in HR or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and required employment documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files.
  • Assist employees and managers with questions regarding HR policies, benefits, PTO, payroll, and other HR-related matters.
  • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee communications.
  • Assist with payroll and timekeeping by reviewing attendance, PTO, missed punches, and related information.
  • Support employee relations activities, including coaching, disciplinary actions, workplace concerns, and investigations.
  • Assist with training, safety meetings, orientations, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support workers' compensation, leave administration, I-9/E-Verify, and other HR programs.
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
  • Prepare HR reports, tracking spreadsheets, employee documentation, and other administrative materials.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions and provide general HR support as needed.
