What the role entails:

The Human Resources Coordinator participates in the daily operations of the HR Department, supporting the HR Team and working closely with colleagues in a fast‑paced environment.

Essential responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate logistics and prepare new‑hire orientation schedules
  • Conduct new‑hire orientations and office tours
  • Communicate internal updates such as new hires, transfers, status changes, and employee departures
  • Maintain electronic personnel file management
  • Manage the HR inbox with the Payroll & Benefits Specialist to ensure timely responses to employee inquiries
  • Provide daily secretarial and coordinator coverage to support attorneys
  • Track and manage time off for legal staff and keep the internal attendance calendar up to date
  • Support annual review processes by scheduling meetings, tracking status, and following up
  • Participate in review planning meetings, take notes, and compile feedback into summaries
  • Plan and coordinate firm events and lead company cultural initiatives
  • Assist recruiting efforts, including resume screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and background check oversight
  • Assist with the Summer Intern program—onboarding, event scheduling, and communications
  • Prepare various reports as needed
  • Maintain required posted information and notices on the Firm Intranet
  • Support compliance efforts, including maintaining posters and annual trainings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and skills:
  • Minimum two (2) years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services organization
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (HR coursework a plus)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow‑through; high accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels
  • Ability to analyze and present data meaningfully
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Compliance with federal law; all hired individuals must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States
Schedule

Hybrid schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in‑office with alternating Mondays and remote Fridays.

Compensation & benefits

Salary range: $65,000 – $80,000 annually, based on experience, education, and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, life insurance, and paid time off.
