Position SummaryThe Human Resources (HR) Coordinator plays a key role in supporting a positive, productive, and welcoming workplace and reports directly to the Human Resources Manager. The HR Coordinator provides administrative and coordination support across a range of HR functions, including onboarding, orientation, benefits administration, employee records, performance management tracking, and compliance documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to supporting an engaging and inclusive work environment.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesOnboarding and Orientation: Support the Human Resources leadership and staff in coordinating onboarding and orientation logistics for new employees. Coordinate with the Operations team and Paycom to ensure a smooth new-hire experience. Accurately enter employee information into Paycom prior to submission to Finance.Benefits Administration: Assist with day-to-day benefits administration, including enrollment processing, changes, invoice coding, and reconciliation. Help troubleshoot employee benefits questions and escalate issues to the HR Manager, Chief Organizational Officer, or benefits providers as needed. Support the annual benefits renewal process and open enrollment logistics.Employee Support: Serve as a friendly first point of contact for employee questions about company policies and general workplace matters, escalating more complex employee relations issues to HR leadership.Performance Management Support: Help track and document the annual performance review process, 90-day appraisals, and goal-setting activities. Assist with preparing paperwork and scheduling related to performance management and disciplinary meetings.Policy Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation. Help monitor HR policies and practices for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, flagging concerns to HR Leadership.Leave Management & Tracking: Support the tracking and documentation of employee leave requests (FMLA, PLO, jury duty, medical leave, military leave, and other leave types). Help maintain accurate leave records and assist employees with basic leave-related questions, escalating complex cases to to HR Leadership.HR Reporting & Data Management: Ensure accurate data entry into Paycom. Assist with generating routine HR reports related to employee data, hiring, and turnover as requested.Other Various HR Tasks and Duties: Support coordination with agencies on workers' compensation and unemployment claims. Run annual DMV checks for employees with driving requirements. Maintain and update the authorized drivers list with the insurance agency. Support issuance and tracking of business cell phones/tablets, credit cards, and building keys, including processing access changes. Complete HR-related vouchers and filing.Primary RequirementsBelief in ACCESS' mission to provide food, warmth, and shelter.Associate's degree or coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.2+ years of experience in an HR support or similar administrative role.Basic familiarity with employment laws and HR practices.Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to fostering a positive, collaborative, diverse, and inclusive workplace.Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy and accountability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Ability to work effectively with others and maintain confidentiality.Professional in presentation and communication.Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Valid Oregon driver's license with a record acceptable under ACCESS' insurance policies.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Paycom or similar HRIS platforms.Coursework toward PHR or SHRM-CP certification.Bilingual (English & Spanish).
