Job description

We are currently seeking a HR Coordinator to join our growing Operations team at our HQ in Santa Monica. Reporting to the People Ops Manager, this position will support the Operations team in providing employees with a collaborative, seamless experience across all parts of the employee life cycle. Youll be a valued member of the Operations team, supporting programs that help people succeed, providing customer-centric HR and Recruiting support and managing operational / office processes. This is an exciting learning opportunity for someone who wants to manage multiple aspects of HR and Recruiting support, and is looking to develop their HR expertise as we quickly scale an organization.

Built by veterans from game and entertainment studios such as Marvel, Disney, Pixar, Bungie, and Riot, our team leverages expertise and passion to build worlds that matter.

Location : Stone Kite located in the Greater Los Angeles area in Santa Monica. This role is expected to work onsite from HQ.

What Youll Do : HR Support

  • Maintain HRIS system (Sequoia), as well as team shared drives, and knowledge sharing sources
  • Act as the point person for new hire onboarding supporting orientation, preparing decks, and managing completion of enrollment forms and trainings
  • Assist contractor management; send contract agreements, manage master contractor spreadsheet, organize invoices, etc.
  • Help the People Ops Manager ensure a smooth offboarding process for employees by communicating information to employees, completing paperwork and assist facilitating exit interviews as needed
  • Prepare job descriptions and post open roles on the company site and external job boards
  • Schedule phone and in-person interviews, handle related candidate correspondence, and guide candidates through on-site interview process
  • Help facilitate company internship program through hiring and program management.

Office Management

  • Act as the onsite point of contact for all guests at the office, providing a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth visit
  • Order, document, and help set up office equipment requests and maintain organized storage
  • Manage employee parking and office access
  • Partner with office vendors and landlord management company to arrange necessary repairs / upgrades and keep a strong, positive relationship
  • Plan and help implement company-wide events ranging from volunteer opportunities to happy hours to professional development

General Operations Support

  • Track HR and Operations expenses and receipts and help code to appropriate designations
  • Send NDAs, release forms, and additional contracts through Docusign
  • Provide administrative support to CEO and President as requested; calendar management, taking notes, partner correspondence, meeting agenda and prep notifications, etc.
  • Support company IT infrastructure and maintenance

What Youll Need :

Education & Experience

  • 1-3 years experience as an HR Assistant / Coordinator or Recruiting Coordinator
  • Bachelors degree, preferably in Business, Psychology or Human Resources
  • Experience working in a small People team at a startup or other fast growing organization a plus
  • Ability to respect strict confidentiality when it comes to employee information
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
  • Intermediate MS Office skills required, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint (or similar Google Suite applications)
  • A human first approach when dealing with others and when managing up, down and across
  • Motivation and capability to rapidly develop HR-related knowledge and skills
  • Ability to take initiative, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Passion for people and eagerness to wear many hats across a small Operations department

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds

Travel Requirements

  • Some local travel may be needed to fulfill any ad hoc office requests

Compensation :

The expected salary range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00 per hour. The compensation package will also include a range of generous medical, dental, vision and other perks & benefits. Compensation decisions are determined using a variety of job-related factors such as skill set, geographic location, market demands, experience, and education / certifications. If we extend an offer for employment, we will consider all individual qualifications.
