Position: Human Resources Coordinator

The Human Resources Coordinator supports the Absence Management team with daily priorities and deliverables. Responsibilities include tracking daily status reports, serving as the point of contact for walk-in questions or concerns, handling legal record requests, and assisting with meeting and training preparations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Perform claim, leave, and accommodation reporting accurately and timely. Analyze data as needed.
  2. Open, date stamp, and scan mail; forward correspondence to specialists; process record requests and subpoenas.
  3. Serve as the initial contact for all walk-ins at the assigned campus, addressing questions, documenting issues, and coordinating with relevant staff.
  4. Engage employees and guests professionally at all times.
  5. Monitor department fax and email for medical notes and updates.
  6. Coordinate leave of absence programs, track return-to-work dates, and manage related documentation in HRIS.
  7. Maintain master files for LOA and accrual elections, and support employee drug tests.
  8. Assist with insurance form completion and support team projects as needed.
  9. Support labor law posting updates and participate in events like the Annual Health Fair.
  10. Support the Director with various projects and research.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of Human Resources experience; recruitment experience preferred.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
  • Proficient in PC use and social media platforms.
  • Non-profit experience and bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus.
