Job Summary:

SPL is growing and is currently looking for an Human Resources Coordinator in Houston, TX. The Human Resources Coordinator must be team oriented, proactive, and goal driven. This position is responsible for performing HR related administrative duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR Director in supporting the HR function at the corporate level.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as point of contact for employees regarding HR related questions;
  • Create and maintain personnel files in compliance with all state and federal requirements;
  • Maintain I-9 files;
  • Assist with reporting;
  • Order supplies;
  • Process and respond to verifications of employment;
  • Assist with onboarding new employees;
  • Serve as back up for out of office;
  • Assist with special projects;
  • Provide administrative support for HR Director, Recruiter and HRBP's;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional HR experience required;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • Must be a team player;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Effective oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Relocation:

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements:

This position does require some occasional travel. Some overnight travel may be required.

Work Schedule:

This position will work 8 hours, Monday through Thursday in the Houston Office with a remote work from home day every Friday. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines.
