Job summary

PCL Construction seeks a Human Resources Coordinator in Denver to drive student recruitment, onboarding and HR program support across the district. You will coach managers, administer HR policy, manage routine reporting, and help with strategic HR initiatives while building strong stakeholder relationships.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, deliver training sessions, assist in budgeting, and ensure compliance with employment laws.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s in HR preferred.
  • 3 years HR experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead district student program recruiting and college relations.
  • Administer HRPD programs, coaching managers and staff.
  • Support district HRPD planning and budget maintenance.
  • Provide data reporting and analysis; support onboarding.
  • Deliver information sessions and support regional initiatives.
  • Develop stakeholder relationships and assist with succession planning.
  • Other duties as required.

Here's how a Human Resources Coordinator for PCL Construction Services, Inc. within Denver contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

- Leads the process for the district’s student program; plans and organizes college recruiting activities, including orientations, events, networking with colleges and universities, managing databases, and coordinating interviews. Maintains strategic relationships with academic institutions.

- Responsible for entry-to mid-level recruiting and onboarding practices.

- Administers HRPD programs and policies. Provides guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HRPD programs, policy, practices, and compliance.

- Participates in district HRPD strategic planning process. Assists with development and execution of district-level projects/initiatives as assigned.

- Maintains budget for assigned programs/initiatives.

- Assists district HRPD manager with staff planning.

- Assists with research and general administrative support pertaining to total rewards.

- Provides guidance and coaching to front-line supervisors and employees on all aspects of career management.

- Assist with administration and supports the succession planning process.

- Provides administrative support for terminations.

- Maintains and prepares scheduled and ad hoc reporting as needed. Provides data analysis and recommendations.

- Delivers information sessions on routine HR/company information. Assists with facilitation sessions.

- Provides implementation support to district HRPD manager on corporate and regional initiatives.

- Participates in regional/national initiatives.

- Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture.

- Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.

- Other duties as required.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.

- Working towards an HR designation preferred.

- 3 years of progressive human resources or related experience preferred.

- Demonstrated understanding of HRPD-related principles, practices, procedures, and employment legislation.

- Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.

- Ability to research, analyze information and data, and make recommendations.

- Basic business acumen and understanding of industry practices and new developments.

- Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.

- Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.

- Demonstrated experience in training and facilitation coordination.

- Basic networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain HR networks.

- Results-oriented and able to meet and drive deadlines.

- Knowledge of change management methodologies an asset.

- Demonstrated critical-thinking skills.

- Ability to recognize employee relations issues that need coaching.

- Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable systems.

The salary range for this position is between $67,000 and $87,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. We anticipate this requisition will be open for a minimum of five days, though it may be open for a longer period of time.
