Insight is hiring for an onsite Human Resources Coordinator role in Coldwater, MI (supporting other locations virtually). This position helps keep HR operations running smoothly, supports new hires from start to finish, and serves as a go-to resource for everyday HR questions. You will also play a visible role in employee engagement and recognition through Circle of Excellence.
Compensation: USD 18–20 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for HR inquiries covering policies, benefits, and payroll, and route more complex questions to senior HR personnel
- Work with the hiring manager and candidates to ensure pre-employment steps and documentation are completed correctly and on time
- Assign and track required and optional training in the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Process garnishments, unemployment claims, and other government agency documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission
- Manage pre-employment requirements such as background checks and screenings
- Handle employment verifications and other official documentation requests
- Monitor and respond to daily help desk tickets
- Conduct new hire orientation, including company policies, benefits, and standard procedures
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in the HRIS, including daily updates, job changes, and status transactions
- Assist with planning and implementation of employee engagement initiatives to support morale and workplace culture
- Oversee Circle of Excellence, the employee recognition program
- Demonstrate a willingness to gradually take on new and more complex tasks, supporting professional growth within the role
- Follow company policies and departmental procedures to ensure consistent, compliant, and efficient workflows
- Complete other related duties as needed and ensure all requests are handled timely and accurately
Requirements
- Previous HR experience is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field experience is preferred
- Demonstrate eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Experience in a Hospital and/or Healthcare environment is preferred, not required
- Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft 360
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information
