Position Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our growing team. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to our workforce, overseeing all aspects of HR operations including employee relations, leadership and management training, performance management, and the continued build‑out and optimization of our HRIS (UKG).

This role is ideal for a people‑first leader who thrives in a high‑growth, dynamic environment and is passionate about elevating people processes to support performance, culture, and organizational success. Experience working in a start‑up is preferred.

Objectives

Partner strategically with department leaders to design and implement people strategies that support organizational growth, career development, and employee retention
Lead efforts to strengthen workplace culture through recognition, cross‑team connection, and initiatives that support employee experience
Drive learning and development initiatives including the creation and facilitation of leadership development, new manager training, and ongoing training programs across departments
Oversee employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures
Act as a key resource for employees navigating benefits‑related questions and escalations, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve employee experience, cost‑efficiency, and alignment with organizational values
Own and lead the build‑out, integration, and ongoing enhancement of our HRIS (UKG)
Facilitate performance management processes including 1:1s, mid‑year and annual reviews, and the design of performance improvement plans when needed
Guide leaders through complex HR scenarios including documentation, coaching, and development‑focused interventions designed to support employee growth and success
Align HR practices with business strategy to influence and support long‑term planning, talent forecasting, and succession planning
Develop, update, and support the implementation of HR policies to ensure alignment with employment laws and promote a fair, inclusive workplace culture

Competencies

Demonstrated ability to execute day‑to‑day HR functions while supporting leaders and employees effectively
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build trust and rapport at all organizational levels
Experience developing and facilitating training and development initiatives, including leadership coaching
Working knowledge of employment law and standard HR compliance practices
Proficient in benefits administration, such as enrollments, compliance, employee support, and issue resolution
Skilled at resolving employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and timely interventions
Experience with UKG, or similar HRIS, including configuration, customization, and optimization

Education and Experience

Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience
Experience working in a startup or high‑growth environment strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
PHR or SHRM‑CP certification preferred

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk or computer
