The HR Business Partner serves as a trusted HR advisor to assigned communities, partnering with leaders to strengthen employee relations, staffing, compliance, and team performance. This role provides hands‑on support throughout the employee lifecycle and helps leaders navigate people matters with consistency, sound judgment, and a strong understanding of community operations.

Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities

Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned communities, building strong working relationships with Executive Directors and department leaders through regular communication, L10 participation, and onsite visits.

Coach leaders on employee relations, performance management, attendance, corrective action, policy interpretation, and other day‑to‑day workforce matters. Partner with the Director of HR on complex, sensitive, or high‑risk concerns.

Support recruiting for leadership and other assigned positions, including requisition approval, job postings, candidate coordination, offer letters, pre‑employment screening, and clearance requirements.

Ensure new hires are accurately established in the HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems and that onboarding documents, personnel files, and required credentials are complete.

Partner with community leaders to provide a consistent onboarding and orientation experience, including structured 7-, 30-, 60-, and 90‑day check‑ins.

Administer employee benefit programs, open enrollment, FMLA, ADA accommodations, and applicable state leave requirements while maintaining timely and accurate documentation.

Coordinate workers' compensation claims, return‑to‑work processes, and unemployment responses. Monitor trends and recommend opportunities to reduce risk and improve workplace safety.

Maintain accurate employee data and employment records across HR systems, ensuring information is complete, current, and audit‑ready.

Prepare and monitor workforce reporting, including staffing activity, turnover, time‑to‑fill, compliance, and other key HR metrics.

Support regulatory audits, policy implementation, and employment compliance across assigned communities.

Identify workforce trends and operational challenges, then partner with leaders to develop practical solutions that support retention, accountability, employee engagement, and quality resident care.

Train and support Business Office Directors and Executive Assistants on hiring, pre‑employment screening, onboarding, personnel documentation, and HR compliance requirements.

Provide practical tools, checklists, and refresher training to promote consistent HR practices across assigned communities.
