Job Summary:

As an HR Business Partner, you’ll serve as the primary HR partner for assigned centers and operational leaders. You’ll provide practical support in employee relations, leader coaching, recruiting, workforce planning, performance management, retention, engagement, and workplace culture.

This position is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working closely with leaders and employees, solving problems, and helping teams succeed. You’ll be part of a collaborative HR team focused on creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace where employees can thrive.

Work Location: Hybrid

Travel: Up to 50% travel may be required to support assigned centers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned locations and respond to employee and manager questions
  • Build positive relationships with employees and leaders while encouraging open and respectful communication
  • Coach leaders on employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, documentation, and policy interpretation
  • Work with HR leadership on employee concerns, corrective actions, and workplace investigations
  • Monitor HR trends and key performance measures related to retention, recognition, engagement, and other people initiatives
  • Support organizational changes and help leaders and employees successfully work through transitions
  • Provide guidance on talent management, total rewards, workforce planning, and employee development
  • Oversee the State Recruiter and help build strong talent pipelines in the communities we serve
  • Lead recruiting efforts for Triad-level positions
  • Participate in candidate screening, interviews, selection discussions, and hiring recommendations
  • Partner with recruiters, HR leadership, Marketing, and operational leaders to create local recruiting strategies
  • Maintain relationships with outside recruiting partners, schools, community organizations, job fairs, and other sourcing resources
  • Partner with the HR Coordinator on interview scheduling, candidate communication, offer letters, tracking, and follow-up
  • Support new employee orientation and HR training for new leaders
  • Help ensure compliance with employment laws, HR policies, required training, and corporate programs
  • Recommend updates to HR policies, procedures, and the Employee Handbook when needed
  • Lead employee engagement plans, retention efforts, recognition programs, and culture-building activities
  • Organize and support employee events, quarterly meetings, appreciation activities, and training
  • Promote a workplace culture focused on safety, respect, inclusion, and teamwork
  • Participate on the Safety Committee and help promote employee safety initiatives
  • Help oversee leave and accommodation processes, including FMLA, disability, ADA, workers’ compensation, and other applicable leave programs
  • Support job description updates and local compensation reviews
  • Help oversee the administration of employee benefit programs
  • Lead assigned HR projects and process improvement efforts

  • Experience working with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required
  • Four to five years of progressive HR leadership experience across multiple HR disciplines
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience working with the frail or elderly population is preferred
Requirements:
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to support assigned centers
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle
  • Successful completion of required background checks and healthcare program clearances
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods and work on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access different departments within assigned locations
  • Must be able to travel for center visits, training, temporary coverage, and other business needs
  • Some overnight travel may be required
