Acara Solutions, a premier recruiting and workforce solutions provider, is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support a large, unionized workforce in a dynamic operational environment. You will act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, guiding HR strategy, employee relations, workforce planning, talent development, labor relations, and compliance for approximately 140 staff.

Competenze

• 5+ years of HR experience in operations, manufacturing, or service environments.
• 2+ years applying California employment laws and HR compliance.
• 3+ years of labor relations and union experience.
• 5+ years of HR generalist experience including ER, performance, talent, and planning.
• 2+ years supporting recruitment and succession planning.

Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner

Employment Type: Contract

Compensation: $52.88- $64.90/hour

In this highly visible role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, driving HR strategy, employee relations, workforce planning, talent development, labor relations, and compliance initiatives while supporting approximately 140 employees.

What You\'ll Do:

• Partner with managers and employees to provide guidance on employee relations, HR policies, labor relations, and performance management
• Develop workforce plans, support recruiting efforts, and ensure staffing needs are met across the organization
• Lead talent management initiatives including performance reviews, succession planning, training, and employee development programs
• Support compensation, salary review, incentive, and total rewards programs
• Analyze HR metrics and workforce data to support business decisions and improve organizational effectiveness
• Collaborate with leadership, unions, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with employment laws and labor agreements

Job Requirements

What You\'ll Bring:

• 5+ years of Human Resources experience in a similar industry, operational, manufacturing, transportation, or service environment
• 2+ years of experience applying California employment laws, regulations, and HR compliance requirements
• 3+ years of Labor Relations and Union experience
• 5+ years of HR Generalist experience supporting employee relations, performance management, talent development, compensation, and workforce planning
• 2+ years of experience supporting recruitment, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives
• 2+ years of experience advising managers on employee relations, employment law, and HR policy matters
• 1+ years of experience utilizing HR metrics, reporting, workforce analytics, and HR systems
• 1+ years of experience supporting compensation, salary review, incentive, or total rewards programs
• 1+ years of experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

What Sets You Apart:

• PHR, SPHR, or equivalent HR certification
• Experience supporting rail, transportation, manufacturing, industrial, or field-service operations
• Experience working with multiple labor unions
• Leadership or people-management experience within Human Resources
• Experience with HRIS platforms, workforce analytics, and organizational metrics
• Expertise in compensation and benefits administration
• Experience leading organizational change initiatives

Additional Information:

• Supports a workforce of approximately 140 employees
• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen
• Overtime: May be required to support business operations and employee relations matters
• Lifting Requirements: Standard office requirements; no specific lifting requirements identified
