Job description

This range is provided by The Horizon Group. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, you will build strong relationships with our company's managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.

We will only consider candidates who have experience working for a Financial Services firm

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.

· May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

· Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

Payroll & Benefits Administration

· Administer the monthly payroll while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees, compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Prepare payroll bookings for the Operations team.

· Manage the employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, disability benefits, and other benefits.

Onboarding and Offboarding

· Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

· Be the first point of contact and knowledge base for all during their employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding. Kick off the background search and manage through completion. Thoughtful planning and conducting of new hire orientation sessions to introduce new hires to the company's people, policies, procedures, systems, and space. Manage the completion of new hire paperwork and facilitate the integration into the co. Ensure the offboarding and exit stages are completed in a smooth manner.

Performance Management

· Oversee the new hire touchpoints (90 day), as well as the annual and other ad hoc reviews for the entire employee population. Identify opportunities to enhance performance management processes, tools, and methodologies. Support the Managers in delivering feedback to employees on their performance. Provide guidance and resources for performance improvement plans and development initiatives.

General HR Administration

· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

· Maintain employee records to ensure privacy and confidentiality.

· Maintain attendance records.

· Maintain the Employee Handbook to ensure it remains compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.

· Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Self-audit of payroll, benefits and other Human Resources programs to ensure integrity of the processes.

· Respond to HQ request for reporting in a timely manner.

Employee Relations

· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

· Counsel managers and supervisors on employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Attend these meetings to ensure proper procedures are followed.

Employee Engagement and Experience

· Implement initiatives to improve employee satisfaction, morale, and retention.

Training:

· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

Immigration & Work Authorization

· Work with outside immigration counsel on visas (L-1, H-1 and Greencard)

· Ensure visas are current and renewals are filed promptly

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

· At least five years of human resource management experience preferred.

· SHRM-CP or HRCI a plus.
