We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about launching or broadening their career in HR and looking to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, training, employee relations, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations Support: Assist with basic employee relations matters, including documentation, scheduling meetings, and maintaining confidential files.
- Respond to employee inquiries or direct them to the appropriate contact.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Support the hiring process by posting job ads, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
- Assist in conducting reference checks and preparing offer letters.
- Help organize and conduct new hire orientations and onboarding sessions.
- Training & Development: Schedule and help coordinate employee training sessions and development programs.
- Maintain training records and assist with tracking training compliance.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in both digital and physical formats.
- Prepare HR-related documents, reports, and presentations as needed.
- Assist in processing HR paperwork such as status changes, benefits forms, and exit paperwork.
- Event Coordination: Help plan and execute HR-related events, including recruitment fairs, employee engagement activities, and training events.
- HR Systems & Compliance: Input data into HR systems and ensure data integrity.
- Support compliance with company policies and employment laws by maintaining organized documentation.
- General Support: Provide day-to-day support to the HR Manager and wider team.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior internship or administrative experience in HR is a plus, but not required
- Basic knowledge of HR functions and best practices
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to learn and grow within the HR field
Working Conditions
- Office environment with occasional travel for events or off-site training
- May require occasional extended hours during peak periods (e.g., hiring seasons or event days)
