Overview

Kaufman Dolowich, recognized by U.S. news in their list of “Best Companies to Work For - Law Firms”is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions and contribute to the overall success of the department.

The HR Assistant will support daily HR operations and assist with various administrative tasks, including onboarding, recordkeeping, and employee engagement initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS systems.
  • Answer general HR-related questions from employees.
  • Help manage employee attendance and timekeeping records.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including completing paperwork and setting up necessary systems access.
  • Help organize employee events, activities, and wellness programs.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data entry, and preparing reports.
  • Reconciling benefit statements with all providers.
  • Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person on the team.
  • Create monthly newsletters/birthday and anniversaries announcements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Detail-oriented and eager to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in HR or administrative roles is a plus but not required.

Target Hiring Range:$45,000 - $50,000

Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer. Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, and job-related qualifications. Base salary represents just one component of the comprehensive Total Rewards package offered by Kaufman Dolowich, which also includes a discretionary bonus program and a robust benefits offering for full-time employees.
