Dallas County is seeking an experienced HR professional to lead a small staff in core HR functions, including recruiting, compensation, safety, employee relations, payroll, and attendance. The role emphasizes policy development, data analysis, and compliance with state and federal laws.

Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Human Resources, or in a job related field of study. Four (4) years of demonstrated progressive experience equivalent to Human Resources Analyst, Senior or Human Resources Officer.
Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Ability to gather, organize, and analyze narrative and statistical data; analyze problems, consider options, formulate strategies, and make practical recommendations; interpret, and apply procedures, rules, and laws. Knowledge of principles of human resource management and practices and state and federal laws pertaining to fair employment practices, and equal employment opportunity. Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality.
