Our client, an established organization in the energy sector, is seeking an HR Advisor to join their team. This role serves as the primary HR point of contact for an assigned operating unit, partnering closely with leaders and employees to deliver HR programs, guidance, and people support. The HR Advisor will help ensure compliance with applicable regulations, internal policies, and client personnel and training requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR contact for the assigned operating unit, providing day-to-day HR support to leaders and employees.
- Coordinate recruitment activities and support the hiring process in alignment with established recruitment procedures.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, respond to HR inquiries, and support issue resolution in a timely manner.
- Support personnel administration activities and HR documentation needs.
- Support employee training and certification tracking to help ensure compliance with required training and competency standards.
- Champion talent and performance management initiatives and support workforce development efforts.
- Coordinate offboarding activities, partnering with stakeholders to support smooth transitions and continuity.
- Partner with managers on people-related decisions; coach and advise leaders while appropriately influencing and challenging when needed.
- Contribute feedback to improve HR programs and policies, ensuring alignment with local requirements and business needs.
- Provide HR-related data and reporting support to internal teams as needed, following standard guidelines and templates.
- Support workforce planning efforts, identifying potential risks and opportunities related to staffing levels, attrition, succession, and development needs.
- Support compliance with applicable regulations and client requirements, including handling local HR legal and compliance topics as needed.
- Support personnel-related cost control and report variances or deviations as required.
- Maintain compliance with safety, conduct, and governing requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of HR experience, preferably supporting both office and industrial workforces.
- Strong understanding of the full HR lifecycle.
- Knowledge of employment law and compliance areas such as leave administration, wage and hour standards, and equal employment requirements.
- Ability to partner with and coach leaders, including working effectively with demanding stakeholders.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple competing HR needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience interpreting and presenting HR data to leadership.
- Experience with HR information systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Workforce planning and talent development experience.
- Willingness and ability to travel to operational sites approximately once per quarter and complete required safety or survival training.
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Industry experience in oil and gas or related environments is a plus.
