Job summary

NexTier Completion Solutions is seeking an HR Advisor to support regional operations and corporate HR. The role covers recruitment/onboarding, employee relations, training, tracking, and reporting, driving improvements to HR systems and processes.

The successful candidate will work under the HR Manager, build strong relationships, manage data, and coordinate onboarding and reporting activities across sites, including travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in Human Resources or Administrative Support.
  • Experience with HR systems and data reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains relationships with employees at all levels in the region.
  • Tracks employee assignments and facilitates transfers as needed.
  • Runs and reconciles reports from Excel and Oracle HCM daily.
  • Submits status changes and maintains electronic files.
  • Supports hiring forecasts and recruiting processes with the team.
  • Coordinates onboarding, I-9 completion, and new hire orientation.
  • Provides HR reports to management (EEO, metrics) as required.
  • Assists with reductions in force and replacement planning.
  • Conducts exit interviews and updates data systems.

Job description

The HR Advisor is responsible for performing general Human Resources related duties in support of regional operations and corporate HR. Specific areas of focus may include recruitment/onboarding, employee relations, training, employee tracking and reporting and contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.

Brief Description: The HR Advisor is responsible for performing general Human Resources related duties in support of regional operations and corporate HR. Specific areas of focus may include recruitment/onboarding, employee relations, training, employee tracking and reporting and contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.

This role will work under the direction of the Human Resources Manager.

Detailed Description
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with employees at all levels within the region and organization.
  • Assists HR team in tracking employee assignments and facilitating transfers based on business needs.
  • Runs and reconciles various reports from MS Excel and Oracle HCM on a daily basis.
  • Submits employee status changes such as transfers, separations, promotions, etc. and maintains electronic files.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining hiring forecasts.
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team, HR team and managers throughout the recruiting process to open job requisitions, facilitate candidate interviews, and partner with Onboarding Experience team to oversee and review applicant’s status utilizing the Company’s applicant tracking system in compliance with established process requirements.
  • Coordinate the new hire on-boarding process, I9 completion and new hire orientation.
  • Provide various HR related reports to management such as hiring activity, EEO reporting, metrics and statistics, or other reports as required.
  • Assist with Reductions in Force and coordinate replacement employees with the appropriate Department.
  • Conduct exit interviews and input data into the system as required.
  • Partner with HR to assist with employee investigations.
  • Administrative duties or other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Occasional travel which may require overnight stay(s) outside normal office hours.
  • Ability to safely navigate various work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc. during normal rig operating conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather) including proper use of designated personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to work effectively with all levels of leadership, hourly employees and peers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills which include the ability to speak, write and listen in a manner that clarifies issues, promotes closure and delivers information in a clear and concise manner and facilitates good decision-making is required.
  • Ability to maintain Company and employee confidentiality at all times and handles sensitive employee information and protect Company proprietary information in an appropriate manner.
  • High level of energy needed for a fast paced environment where multiple initiatives are happening simultaneously.
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to run reports and analyze results.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office tools and resources, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources (HR), or related field of study.
  • 1+ year of experience in Human Resources or Administrative Support
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Understanding of HR processes, practices, legal and regulatory legislation
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to present HR initiatives and training materials and information to management and employees
  • Experienced in working in an applicant tracking system
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish
  • PHR or SHRM-CP
Additional Details

Work is primarily in a climate controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, or climb stairs with occasional lifting (overhead, waist time) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer,telephoneandotherofficeequipment.FrequenttraveltootherCompanyofficesanddrilling rig work sites, often in remote locations, is required during normal rig operating conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather), and employee will be expected to properly use designated personal protective equipment (PPE).
