Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience with building, leading, and scaling an HR team.
  • Active HR certification required (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR).
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Strong working knowledge of Texas and federal employment law.
  • Prior HR experience within energy/oil & gas/industrial sector preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG, or similar).
  • Proven track record managing compensation structures, benefits programs, and workforce planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • High degree of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the HR department, including hiring, mentoring, and managing HR staff as the team scales.
  • Design and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives in a dynamic energy-sector environment.
  • Oversee full-cycle talent acquisition, including workforce planning for field and corporate roles.
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, Texas state, and industry-specific employment laws and regulations.
  • Own compensation and benefits administration, including market benchmarking and annual reviews.
  • Partner with senior leadership on organizational design, succession planning, and workforce development.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, handbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead HRIS management and reporting, ensuring data integrity and actionable workforce analytics.
  • Champion company culture and employee engagement initiatives programs.
  • Manage leave administration, workers' compensation, and safety-related HR matters common to energy operations.
  • Support audits, investigations, and risk mitigation related to employment practices.

  • Familiarity with union relations or multi‑site workforce management (if applicable)
  • Experience with M&A integration, restructuring, or rapid organizational growth
