Job summary

Description

This is an office position responsible for administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This is a part-time position, approximately 20-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS database
  • Process new hire, employee change, and termination documentation
  • Ensure personnel files are organized and compliant with company and legal requirements
  • Maintain up to date job descriptions for all roles within the organization
  • Support open enrollment activities and benefits communications
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and financial information
  • Provide administrative support for employee engagement programs
  • Assist with self-audits including employee file audits, I-9 audits and annual 401K and payroll audits
  • Other administrative and human resources duties as assigned

Requirements
Candidate Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous administrative, office support, customer service or human resources experience preferred
  • Thorough understanding of maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive documents and information
  • Data entry skills using a 10-key pad
  • The ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks, strong attention to detail, establish priorities, work independently, problem solve, and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and work at a computer
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check
Technology & Software Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of Windows and proficiency with PC platforms
  • Experience with payroll or human resources software preferred
