Job Description

AHRC NYC is seeking a Human Resource Manager to oversee HR operations and provide operational support.

Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per year plus a comprehensive benefits package. This position requires in-person work.

Responsibilities
General Responsibilities
  • Support and supervise HR Operations, ensuring high standards of accuracy and compliance with legal and policy requirements.
  • Manage onboarding, ensuring completeness and accuracy of hiring documentation.
  • Perform quality checks on personnel data entry in HRIS database.
  • Manage workflow processes within HR to ensure efficiency.
  • Assist in developing systems, policies, and strategies related to HR functions, legal compliance, benefits, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Lead the HR team, supervise staff, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee onboarding of new hires, including offer letters, payroll setup, and documentation.
  • Manage employee data changes in HR systems.
  • Coordinate with program management regarding payroll and transfers.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring data integrity and privacy.
  • Address management and employee inquiries professionally.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align HR and business operations.
  • Improve HR processes using technology and best practices.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of HR experience, including 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, laws, and systems.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software.
  • Experience implementing operational improvements.
