Job summary

CFS in Niles, MI is seeking an HR Director to lead strategy, compliance, and employee engagement across departments in a 100% onsite role.

You will shape HR policies with leadership, drive recruitment, onboarding, and performance development while ensuring legal compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years HR experience with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• SHRM or HRCI certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
• Manage performance review processes and support leadership development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Maintain HR records and systems, and generate reports for leadership.
• Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures.

$69,898 – $72,400 depending on experience
