Job summary

Diamond Pet Company is seeking an HR Generalist to shape workplace culture, support employees, and enhance the employee experience in a manufacturing setting. You will manage recruitment, onboarding and benefits administration while safeguarding confidential information.

You will also assist with payroll prep, HRIS data entry, employee engagement initiatives, and coordination of HR projects. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in HR/recruitment are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment screening (drug screen and background check) completed.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years in human resources.
• Minimum of two years in recruitment.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HR laws, policies and procedures.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented team player capable of handling multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates through Paycor Hire, post jobs, screen and schedule interviews.
• Conduct new hire orientation and assemble onboarding packets.
• Verify and process new hire paperwork for accuracy.
• Assist with benefits enrollment and Open Enrollment projects.
• Backup review of timecards and payroll preparation support.
• Update badges in HRIS and LenelS2 systems as needed.
• Assist with unemployment claims and employment verifications.
• Enter wellness and dependent eligibility dates in HRIS.
• Maintain employee files and assist with employee rewards programs.
• Advise employees and supervisors on employment questions and escalate issues.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and HR-related events.
• Coordinate HR initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the employment of all part-time and full-time employees by sourcing candidates through Paycor Hire, posting jobs, phone screening candidates and scheduling candidate interviews for open positions.
• Conduct new hire orientation and assemble onboarding packets.
• Assist with verifying and processing all new hire paperwork maintaining accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct and verify benefits enrollment information with new employee.
• Assist benefits with annual “Open Enrollment” and any other benefit related projects as needed.
• Backup on reviewing timecards on a weekly basis and before each payroll to prepare the Payroll Team for payroll processing.
• Assist with assigning and updating new Badges in the HRIS and LenelS2 Systems.
• Assist with Unemployment Claims and Employment Verifications.
• Input Wellness and Dependent Eligibility dates in HRIS System.
• File and maintain employee files.
• Complete employee birthday cards and assist with employee rewards and recognition programs.
• Advise employees and supervisors with general employment-related questions and escalation complex issues to the HR manager.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and the planning employee and community events.
• Assist with the coordination of key HR initiatives, projects and other duties as assigned.
• Report all safety violations and hazards to the supervisor immediately and participate in all safety programs and procedures. Must always wear required PPE.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by the supervisor to be accepted with a positive and professional attitude.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of pre-employment screening (drug screen and background check).
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related degree (highly preferred).
• Minimum of two years’ experience in human resources.
• Minimum of two years' recruitment experience.
• Previous experience working in manufacturing (preferred).
• Demonstrate knowledge of HR related laws, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to handle highly sensitive matters and remain confidential.
• Detail-oriented team player with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
