Job description

ZRS MANAGEMENT LLC is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to manage core, day-to-day HR operations in a Dallas, TX onsite environment. This role helps keep people programs running smoothly, supports employee needs across a range of HR functions, and serves as a backup to the HR Manager with possible support to the Payroll Director when required.

Working as a partner to both employees and leadership, you will oversee employee relations, regulatory compliance activities, performance management support, and administration of services including benefits and leave. The position also contributes to HR initiatives aligned with business goals and includes involvement in internal hiring workflows, reporting, and data analysis across HR systems.

What you'll do
  • Serve as a liaison between management and employees by addressing questions and resolving work-related issues.
  • Advise leadership on HR policies, procedures, applicable laws, and employment regulations.
  • Manage employee relations activities, including investigating complaints, mediating disputes, and administering disciplinary actions.
  • Handle HR communications and ensure accurate, timely responses to employee inquiries.
  • Oversee the internal job board by processing internal applications and coordinating with relevant departments.
  • Prepare offer letters, job descriptions, and other employment documentation.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation and help ensure onboarding tasks are completed on time.
  • Ensure compliance with I-9 requirements and maintain accurate related records.
  • Generate and distribute HR newsletters and manage employee recognition programs.
  • Conduct exit interviews and prepare turnover reports.
  • Run reports and analyze HR system data from Workday, WageWorks, and Lincoln Financial.
  • Maintain employee records and manage benefits-related data.
  • Coordinate open enrollment and support performance management processes.
  • Monitor leave of absence requests and manage disability paperwork.
  • Send benefits premium catch-up letters as needed, ensuring employees receive accurate and timely information regarding benefits coverage and payments.
  • Analyze training needs and make recommendations for manager development.
  • Support the Payroll Director on Workers' Compensation claims and coordinate related processes.
  • Assist with reporting requirements tied to relevant government rules and regulations, including ERISA, EEO-1, OSHA, and 5500 filing.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements related to benefits, FMLA, ADA, and other employment regulations.
  • Collaborate on HR and payroll projects focused on improving employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Manager and Payroll Director.

  • Strong computer knowledge, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database applications, and internet/web-based benefit programs (Workday preferred).
  • Demonstrated confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive situations.
  • Solid business acumen and the ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor's degree (or at least one year of human resource experience preferred).
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
