Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented **Finance & HR Coordinator **to oversee the financial operations and human resources functions. This role is vital to the continued fiscal responsibility and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks for financial management and BambooHR for human resources processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Management (60%)
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online , including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the Director to prepare and manage the annual operating budget.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal leadership, the Library Board, and external stakeholders as required.
- Monitor grants, levy funds, and capital improvement expenditures for compliance with relevant regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audit preparation and financial reviews.
- Ensure all financial practices comply with state and local regulations and sound fiscal policy.
Human Resources & Payroll (30%)
- Manage employee records, onboarding, offboarding, and performance tracking using BambooHR.
- Oversee biweekly payroll processing and benefit administration, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal and Missouri employment laws and policies.
- Support hiring efforts and maintain job descriptions and compensation records.
- Serve as liaison to the county and state HR contacts as needed.
Administrative Support (10%)
- Serve as an active member of the administrative team, contributing to strategic planning and policy development.
- Participate in board meetings as needed to present financial data and respond to fiscal inquiries.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive financial and personnel information.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or HR; experience in a nonprofit or governmental setting preferred.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and BambooHR required.
- Experience with governmental accounting or fund accounting a plus.
Skills & Competencies:

- High level of integrity and discretion with sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and payroll systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Working Conditions:
- This is an in-office position based at the administrative offices in Nixa, Missouri. Work from home after probation period is an option.
- Standard Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional evening or weekend meetings.
