Job summary

DHL Express currently seeks an HR Business Partner at our CVG Airport facility in Erlanger, Kentucky. This role emphasizes employee relations, performance and talent management, engagement and retention to support business strategy.

Responsibilities include staffing, leadership coaching, succession planning, and policy implementation across the site. Strong HR background and willingness to collaborate with regional HR leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in HR/Business or related field
• 3+ years of professional HR generalist experience
• Knowledge of employment laws and practices
• Strong advisory and conflict management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• SPHR/PHR certification desirable
• Master’s degree in HR or related field a plus
• Knowledge of transportation, logistics or manufacturing a plus

• Lead succession planning panels to identify risks and development areas
• Promote leadership development and bi-weekly supervisor training
• Encourage and monitor programs for active leadership and employee engagement

We currently have a need for a HR Business Partner at our CVG Airport facility in Erlanger, Kentucky. This role will have a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, talent management, engagement and retention activities.

Key Accountabilities:

• Drives implementation of HR functions including employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management and workforce planning within our facilities
• Works with our Regional HR Director to develop new solutions that support the strategy of our business and region
• Acts as an advisor for multiple levels of leadership on strategic and tactical human resources issues
• Ensures consistent application of approved company-wide and specific employee relations policies and practices.
• Works with managers and employees to investigate and resolve employee relations issues as they arise
• Manages staffing for executive, exempt, and nonexempt roles including support and counsel to managers in sourcing, interviewing candidates, offers and onboarding of candidates
• Leads succession planning panels to identify risks and development areas assigned
• Promotes continuous development of leadership through identification and bi-weekly delivery of training with supervisors
• Monitors and encourages programs that support active leadership and employee engagement
• This position does not require travel

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Admin, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of professional human resources generalist experience
• Strong investigatory skills
• Excellent knowledge of employment, employee relations, compensation / salary administration, and the laws that govern these areas
• Excellent consultative, influencing, conflict management, analytical, organizational, and diplomacy skills
• Proficient in Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• SPHR or PHR certification desirable
• Master’s degree in HR or related field is a plus
• Knowledge of transportation, logistics and/or manufacturing is a plus
