Job summary

Battelle Energy Alliance seeks an intern to support workforce adoption of AI and other technological innovations in the nuclear industry at Idaho Falls. You will assess innovation readiness and how workforce culture affects technology adoption, focusing on AI.

Reporting to the Human Factors and Reliability team on a 9x80 on-site schedule, start date varies by project. Course credit may be available; CPT/OPT work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full time in a Doctorate degree program at an accredited college/university studying Human Factors, Human Systems Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering or closely related.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT)
• Current Resume or CV
• Unofficial Transcripts (include current and completed degree programs) Current class schedule and number of credits

Responsibilities

• Identify innovation culture factors that influence the speed and depth of technology adoption
• Develop indicators of adoption disengagement that serve as early intervention targets, including AI-specific workforce signals
• Establish tailored adoption recommendations for site leadership
