You will work with engineering, licensing, and software teams to prototype AI agents, automation, and data processing tools that reduce repetitive tasks and enhance decision support for

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's/Master’s/PhD in CS/AI or related field and actively enrolled during internship.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML or software engineering projects.
• Strong Python programming and modern software practices.
• Experience building apps with LLMs, generative AI, AI agents, or ML models.
• Familiarity with APIs, structured and unstructured data, and data integrations.
• Knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and software tools to accelerate reactor design and licensing workflows.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI agents and internal engineering tools.
• Develop AI-assisted workflows for analyzing engineering documents, calculations, specs, requirements, and regulatory materials.
• Build tools to retrieve, organize, compare, and synthesize information across large document sets.
• Support AI tools for NRC licensing documentation, regulatory research, and document management.
• Develop software integrations connecting AI with engineering, project management, and document platforms.
