Avolta at Richmond International Airport is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service, handle transactions, and support stock duties. You will engage customers, answer questions, and help maintain a well-organized store environment.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, multitasking ability, and physical stamina to lift up to 60 pounds. Full-time shifts include weekends and holidays in a dynamic airport setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and acknowledge them.

• Operate a cash register accurately.
• Follow all company policies, cash handling policies, and loss prevention procedures.
• Coordinate pricing, inventory issues, and communicate with management.
• Protect store assets and stock merchandise in-store and backrooms.
• Manage damaged/outdated products and inform management of stockouts.
• Maintain a neat, clean, organized store; sweep and backstock removal.
• Place stock orders, receive freight, and unload trucks.
• Provide ongoing stock replenishment to the sales floor.
• Assist in inventory and reconciliation of variances.
• Perform related work as assigned.

Retail Sales Associate Key Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet customers
• Communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees and store management
• Know basic store layout to assist customers in their selection of product and be able to answer customer questions about the entire store
• Effectively operate a cash register
• Follow all company policies, cash handling policies, and special store loss prevention procedures
• Communicate pricing, out of date and inventory issues with management
• Protect all company assets, stock merchandise in stores and backrooms
• Isolate, sort, and organize all damaged and outdated products and returns and inform management of any out-of-stock situations
• Help maintain a neat, clean, organized store, which includes sweeping, dusting, straightening of merchandise, and trash removal
• Places stock orders, receive freight, load, and unload trucks
• Provides ongoing stock replenishment to the sales floor
• Assists in inventory and reconciliation of inventory variances
• Perform related work as assigned
