Job summary

Masonicare at Wesley Heights in Shelton, CT seeks an Occupancy Specialist (DAY SHIFT) to manage HUD-assisted housing occupancy and compliance. You will handle applicant screening, eligibility, leasing, certifications, waitlists, and MOR support.

The role requires COS certification within 90 days of hire, strong organizational and documentation skills, and the ability to maintain audit-ready files in HUD systems. This is a full-time day-shift position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree in Business Administration, Property Management, Public Administration, Human Services, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in affordable housing, HUD property housing, property management, leasing administration, occupancy compliance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assure high quality customer service and housing experiences for applicants and residents.
• Manage applicant intake, conduct interviews, and guide HUD applicants through the process.
• Conduct housing tours and explain apartment availability, eligibility and HUD guidelines.
