Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Occupancy Specialist Certification within 90 days of employment.
• Associate's degree in public service, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in multifamily housing preferred if no degree.
• Knowledge of HUD multifamily housing laws and regulations.
• Math skills for rent calculations and EIV errors.

Responsibilities

• Maintains organization of all phases of the recertification process, with deadlines.
• Conducts the re-examination interview, process, and maintains files and verification forms.
• Reviews resident files and verification forms for accuracy and inputs data timely.
• Assists with background checks, move-in, and move-out paperwork.
• Explains rent calculation to tenants and assists with completion of re-certification materials.
• Prepares and sends notices of rent adjustments per HUD regulations.
• Submits monthly ancillary charges for rent statements.
• Prepares and completes Form HUD-50059 and submits to HUD system.
