Job summary

Kettering Health Main Campus in Kettering, OH is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) for a part-time role on 12-hour day shifts. The position blends HUC and NA duties within the patient care team, assisting with activities of daily living and delegated nursing tasks under supervision.

The HUC NA coordinates unit activities with leadership, processes patient records, and supports communication among nursing staff, physicians, and other departments.

Qualifications

• KH Health Coordinator training completed on hire.
• KH Nursing Assistant Orientation completed on hire.
• CPR/BLS certification obtained.
• Six months nursing assistant experience in hospital or long-term care, or NA course completed in last six months.

Responsibilities

• Dual Health Unit Coordinator and Nursing Assistant duties within the patient care team.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and delegated nursing tasks.
• Coordinate day-to-day unit activities with leadership; manage patient records and communications with nursing staff, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel.
• Serve as a resource for physicians and other care team members for the electronic medical record.
• Maintain knowledge and demonstrate ability to perform delegated tasks and support department operations.
