Job summary

Kettering Health Main Campus in Dayton is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) for a full-time night shift. The role blends HUC and NA duties as part of the interdisciplinary patient care team, coordinating patient flow and supporting the nursing staff.

You will assist patients with activities of daily living, help maintain patient records, and serve as a resource for physicians and the care team in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• KH Health Coordinator training completed on hire.
• KH Nursing Assistant Orientation completed on hire.
• CPR/BLS certification on hire.
• One of the following: 6 months NA hospital/long-term care OR NA course completed in last 6 months OR nursing student/pre-nursing on transcripts OR current KH employee.

Responsibilities

• Support patients with activities of daily living and perform delegated patient care skills.
• Collaborate with unit leadership to coordinate day-to-day patient care activities.
• Process patient records and communicate with nursing staff, physicians and interdepartmental personnel.
• Serve as a resource for physicians and care team for the electronic medical record.
• Maintain knowledge and skills for delegated tasks and support department operations.
