Job summary

Kettering Health Main Campus in Ohio is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) for a full-time 12-hour day shift. The role blends HUC duties with nursing assistant tasks, supporting patient care and maintaining records under licensed nursing staff supervision.

The position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager and requires KH training, NA orientation, CPR/BLS, and relevant experience or student status as outlined in the qualifications.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of KH Health Coordinator training upon hire into role
• Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant Orientation upon hire into role
• CPR/BLS certification
• One of the following: six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or long-term care facility; completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months; nursing student or pre-nursing listed on transcripts; current KH employee

Responsibilities

• Support patients with activities of daily living and perform patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.
• Collaborate with unit leadership to coordinate day-to-day activities of the patient care unit and manage patient records.
• Serve as a resource for physicians and health care team members for the electronic medical record.
• Maintain knowledge, skill, and ability of delegated tasks and support department operations.
