Job summary

Kettering Health Main Campus in Ohio is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) on a part-time basis to support the patient care team. The role blends HUC and NA duties, assisting with activities of daily living and coordinating unit operations under the supervision of licensed staff.

The HUC NA collaborates with nurses, physicians, and leaders to manage patient records, communicate across departments, and provide EMR support.

Qualifications

CPR/BLS Certification required.
Nursing Assistant course completed or in progress with eligibility to work.
KH Health Coordinator training upon hire is required.
KH Nursing Assistant Orientation upon hire is required.
Nursing student or listed as pre-nursing as shown on transcripts or current KH employee may qualify.

Responsibilities

The HUC NA supports patients with activities of daily living and performs patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.
Collaborates with unit leadership in coordinating day-to-day patient care unit activities and manages patient records.
Serves as a resource for physicians and health care team for the electronic medical record (EMR).
Maintains knowledge and skills for delegated tasks and supports department operational needs.
