Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years’ warehouse experience or similar discipline
• Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
• Communicate effectively and build relationships with customers, peers, and management
• Knowledge of distribution and transportation industry
• Excellent organization skills and multitasking ability
• Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills
• Computer proficiency and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Select trucks for each route based on volume and equipment availability
• Maintain daily dispatch log with driver, route number, and equipment required
• Maintain database of customer locations and time windows
• Investigate customer complaints regarding lost or damaged merchandise or shortages
• Ride with drivers to evaluate delivery area and ensure customer service standards
• Coordinate shipping and receiving of merchandise and inventory
• Assemble and fill customer orders for 30–45 minute delivery windows
• Perform inventory and cycle counts
• Handle opening/closing duties and cash handling
• Keep store, counter, and warehouse clean and safe
