Job summary

Yzer seeks a Hub Manager in Madison, WI to oversee daily hub operations, including inbound receipt, sortation, routing, dispatch, and end-of-day reconciliation. The role provides leadership to delivery drivers and hub staff, manages performance metrics, and ensures safety, quality, and operational standards.

The Hub Manager leads workforce scheduling, inventory and package flow management, and partner coordination with ICs and vendors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of operations, logistics, or transportation management experience.
• Experience with Independent Contractors, vendors, or 1099 delivery partners.
• Understanding of last-mile routing and DOT/OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily hub operations, including inbound receipt, sortation, routing, staging, dispatch, and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Ensure packages are processed accurately and dispatched on schedule to meet delivery expectations and SLAs.
• Oversee the duty assignment process while maintaining compliance with IC contract guidelines and business rules.
• Maintain operational readiness, hub organization, and adherence to company safety and quality standards.
• Lead and manage warehouse staff; hire, schedule, train, coach, and evaluate performance.
• Address employee concerns, enforce policies, and administer corrective actions when necessary.
• Monitor IC service performance, including on-time delivery, scan compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Track KPIs such as on-time delivery rate, exception volume, scan compliance, and productivity metrics.
• Investigate and resolve delivery issues, escalations, and customer-impacting incidents.
• Enforce DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards; conduct safety briefings and investigations.
