Job summary

Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Planner for the Houston branch to manage daily inventory planning across Texas to Austin regions. You will forecast product needs, allocate stock, and reconcile orders, ensuring data integrity and timely reporting.

The role requires 2–5 years in materials management or inventory planning, plus HVAC industry familiarity. On-site position with SAP/WMS experience and a focus on customer service and cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business or equivalent experience required.
• 2-5 years materials management, supply chain, or inventory planning experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
• HVAC experience is desirable.
• Working knowledge of SAP/WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory stocking levels and item forecast for all branches in the Austin/West Texas Region of operations.
• Plan inventory to ensure accurate allocations of product based on sales forecasts.
• Run reports and analysis to create and maintain databases and spreadsheets for different users or areas.
• Ensure good customer service while dealing with customers’ phone calls, follow-ups, and relationship management.
• Track and report efficiencies and yields associated with inventory management.
• Manage the reduction of excess and obsolete inventory.
• Report to management/supervision daily out of stock items/materials.
• Assists in cycle count discrepancy reconciliation at the branch level.
• Review, monitor, and address full good inventory levels to minimize potential out of stock risk to sales.
• Facilitation of all required SAP standard work tasks to support branch operations.
• Communicate effectively and promote information sharing between teams and departments.
• Manage special inventory projects
• Complete other duties as assigned
