Job summary

Thea Energy seeks an HTS Magnet Multiphysics Modelling Engineer to support design, analysis and testing of HTS magnets for planar coil stellarator systems. You will work with senior engineers, develop HTS analysis tools, and ensure simulations align with test data.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of engineering/physics/data analysis experience, Python scripting proficiency, and familiarity with Ansys/COMSOL.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of engineering, physics, or data-analysis experience; magnets/cryogenics/electromagnetics a plus.
• Proficiency with Python for data analysis and scripting.
• Familiarity with Multiphysics tools (Ansys, COMSOL) or strong willingness to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical models of HTS Magnet Systems.
• Run and maintain Multiphysics simulations (Ansys EM, Structural, COMSOL).
• Collect, process, and analyze data from design studies and test campaigns.
• Build data analysis tools, scripts, and dashboards using Python or similar languages.
• Document magnet specifications, test procedures, and results.
• Track program metrics and prepare progress reports against milestones.
• Organize and maintain design/test records, drawings, and vendor documentation.
