Job summary

Thea Energy is actively seeking an HTS Magnet Analyst to join its growing magnet engineering team in the United States. You will support design, analysis, and testing of HTS magnets for planar coil stellarators, collaborating with senior engineers to develop simulation tools and validate models.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in engineering or physics, strong Python skills, and familiarity with Ansys/COMSOL.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in engineering, physics, or data-analytic roles with magnets, cryogenics, or electromagnetics a plus.
• Proficient in Python for data analysis and scripting.
• Familiar with Multiphysics tools or eager to learn quickly.
• CAD knowledge (Solidworks/CATIA/NX) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical models of HTS magnet systems.
• Run and maintain Multiphysics simulations (Ansys EM, Structural, COMSOL).
• Collect and analyze data from design studies and tests.
• Build data tools and dashboards using Python.
• Document magnet specs, test procedures, and results.
• Track program metrics and report progress against milestones.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders on data needs.
• Identify data quality issues and communicate findings to the team.
