Job summary

Thea Energy, Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a detail-oriented HTS Magnet Analyst to join its magnet engineering team.

You will support design, analysis, and testing of high temperature superconducting magnets for planar coil stellarators, collaborating with senior engineers to simulate performance. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in engineering or data analysis, proficiency with Python, and experience with multiphysics tools such as Ansys or COMSOL.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in engineering, physics, or data-analysis role; magnets/cryogenics a plus.
• Proficient with Python for data analysis and scripting.
• Familiar with Multiphysics tools or willing to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop industry-standard analytical models of HTS magnet systems.
• Run and maintain multiphysics simulations (Ansys EM, Structural, COMSOL).
• Collect, process, and analyze data from design studies and test campaigns.
• Build and maintain data analysis tools and dashboards using Python.
• Support documentation of magnet specifications, test procedures, and results.
• Track program metrics and help prepare progress reports against milestones.
• Assist with organizing design and test records, drawings and vendor documentation.
• Identify data quality issues, trends, and anomalies and flag them to engineering.
• Opportunities to get involved in many aspects of design, manufacturing and testing.
