Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC seeks a Sr HSSE Excellence Manager to lead the HSSE Management System Cycle enterprise-wide. You will design, implement and continually improve MSC practices, align with HSSE objectives, and drive risk-based decision-making across North American operations.

The role requires strong leadership, facilitation, and data-driven management of HSSE activities, including annual risk evaluations and integration into business planning. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, or related field.
• Professional certifications (CSP/CIH) preferred.
• Minimum 7 years in HSSE, risk management, or related field.
• Experience with HSSE management systems (ISO 45001/ANSI) and leadership engagement.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage HSSE Management System Cycle across the organization.
• Lead objective setting, risk assessments, and action plan development.
• Develop and track OKRs to monitor risk and performance.
• Oversee HSSE Plan in AirTable or similar tool with milestones and owners.
• Maintain HSSE Homepage and communications on SharePoint.
• Coordinate annual risk evaluations across focus areas and build risk profiles.
• Facilitate Leadership Team meetings on HSSE topics and report outcomes.
• Analyze HSSE data to identify gaps and drive improvement actions.
