Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role in a related industry.
• Solid understanding of OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
• Conflict resolution skills with problem-solving ability.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency with aptitude for new technology.

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports project HSE plans, regulatory requirements and safe work practices.
• Develops and delivers project specific HSE training.
• Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects.
• Leads project HSE inspections and evaluates safety plans.
• Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance.
• Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders.
• Coaches and mentors HSE coordinators and staff.
