Job summary

This role focuses on implementing project HSE requirements, training, audits, and continuous improvement to protect workers and sites. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in OH&S or related field, 9 years of HSE experience with 4 in a supervisory role, and professional certifications such as CRSP (CDN) or ASP (US).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in OH&S or a related discipline.
• 9 years of experience in a related industry, with direct experience in HSE.
• 4 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• CRSP certification preferred (CDN).
• ASP certificate preferred (US).

Responsibilities

• Develops and assists with implementation of project HSE and regulatory requirements.
• Identifies, evaluates, develops, and delivers project-specific HSE training.
• Assists with the development of project training and district specific training.
• Oversees and conducts formal HSE inspections and audits.
• Provides guidance and coaching to project teams and direct reports on audit requirements.
• Develops specialized PPE training as required.
• Develops and evaluates effectiveness of project emergency response plan and executes crisis communication plan for project(s).
• Monitors work injury and ensures modified work is followed and properly documented.
