Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role in a related industry; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
• Excellent conflict resolution and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Understanding of construction processes and terminology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to adopt new technology.

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports project HSE plans and regulatory requirements.
• Develops and delivers project-specific HSE training.
• Executes district HSE communication strategies on projects.
• Leads project HSE inspections and evaluates safety plans.
• Develops emergency and environmental plans and monitors contractor HSE performance.
• Maintains positive stakeholder relationships and mentors team members.
