Job summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. in San Diego, California seeks an experienced HSE Supervisor to lead project health, safety and environmental efforts across diverse teams.

You will implement HSE plans, deliver targeted training, and drive inspections to ensure compliance and safe work practices. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in OH&S and 5 years in a health and safety role, with strong communication skills and stakeholder relationship ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role in a related industry.
• Solid understanding of OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Construction industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices.
• Identifies, evaluates, develops and delivers project specific HSE training.
• Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects.
• Recognizes, evaluates, and advises on hazard identification.
• Leads and conducts project HSE inspections and monitors the effectiveness of inspections and trade safety plans.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Coaches, trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.
