Job summary

H+M Industrial is hiring an HSE Supervisor to lead safety programs at Pasadena, TX sites. You will oversee daily safety operations, perform line walkdowns, and ensure energy isolation and lockout/tagout compliance across field and shop environments.

The role requires OSHA outreach certification and experience in petrochemical safety, with responsibilities including delivering OSHA 10/30 courses, incident investigations, and coaching on safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Certified OSHA outreach traininer (OSHA 510/500)
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in petrochemical construction safety OR three (3) years with Bachelor in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• CHST, OHST or similar certs highly preferred.
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a TWIC card.
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of Construction Safety Standards (e.g. Excavations, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, Incident Investigation & Case management).
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment for all project employees, sub-contractors, and visitors.
• Perform routine line walkdowns to verify isolation points, audit LOTO applications.
• Provide consistent HSE coverage across field construction sites and shop/fabrication operations.
• Deliver OSHA 10-Hour and OSHA 30-Hour Construction courses and maintain outreach training records per OSHA requirements.
• Provide HSE support and direction to site personnel.
• Participate in incident investigations and determine root causes.
• Eliminate reoccurrence by implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor safety obligations with clients and communicate to Site Supervision.
• Submit weekly site safety performance indicators.
• Champion special HSE programs (e.g., BBS Observations, Extra Hazardous Work).
• Indirectly supervise safety practices of craftsmen in an industrial setting.
• Determine training needs and assist personnel in obtaining that training.
