Job summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor in Denver, CO to lead safety programs on our projects and ensure regulatory compliance. You will train teams, inspect sites, and drive continuous improvement in hazard identification and incident prevention.

The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, strong communication, and a proactive approach to safety. Salary ranges and offers will be finalized during the personalized process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role in a related industry; supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop, influence and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes and terminology.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and adaptable to new technology.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and supports project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices.
  • Identifies, evaluates, develops and delivers project specific HSE training.
  • Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects.
  • Recognizes, evaluates, and advises on hazard identification.
  • Leads and conducts project HSE inspections and monitors the quality and effectiveness of inspections and trade safety plans.
  • Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan, site-specific security requirements and the environmental plan.
  • Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance.
  • Participates in on-site investigative processes and evaluating corrective actions taken.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Coaches, trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.

  • Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to problem-solve.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.

The estimated salary range for this role is $86,000 to $112,000, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer. We anticipate this requisition will be open for a minimum of five days, though it may be open for a longer period of time.
