ABB Inc. is seeking an experienced HSE professional to improve Health, Safety, and Environment performance in the assigned area.

You will apply in-depth HSE knowledge to deliver risk-managed, compliant outcomes and support a high-performance safety culture across ABB's NAM value chain. The role reports to the HSE Manager and is onsite in North Carolina, focusing on risk assessments, incident investigations, and program implementation with collaboration across production, maintenance, and

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree preferred; will consider Associate Degree or High School diploma with relevant experience.
5+ years of HSE/OHS management experience.
HSE management certificate or equivalent training.
Ability to design training modules and deploy feedback processes.
Ability to represent ABB as a domain expert with customers and stakeholders.
Knowledge of state-specific safety programs such as North Carolina Safe Star.
Experience with management system implementation and compliance.

Responsibilities

Support risk assessments, ensure effective hazard controls are implemented, and assist supervisors in meeting regulatory, company, and HSE requirements.
Coordinate incident reporting and support investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Promote a strong safety and environmental culture by coaching employees and reinforcing safe work practices.
Support the implementation of HSE programs, projects, objectives, and improvement initiatives.
