Job summary

US1354 Buckhead Meat & Seafood Mid-Atlantic, a Sysco operating company, seeks an experienced HSE program specialist to support the implementation of prevention-focused health, safety, and environmental initiatives across facilities. You will assist in project rollout, training, and aligning site practices with corporate HSE objectives, including security and crisis preparedness.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and/or OSHA certifications required.
• 2+ years of hands-on safety experience in warehousing, manufacturing or transportation.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Certified safety professional status advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Complete safety training programs and maintain logs and reports.
• Inspect facilities for unsafe conditions and support corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and assist root-cause analysis with recommendations.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and train supervisors in safety best practices.
• Interface with regulatory bodies (OSHA, DOT, EPA, State/Local Regulators) in safety director's absence.
• Support the annual HSE training plan and cross-functional safety initiatives.
